Elbia Gannoum is an economist with a PhD in Industrial Economics and one of Brazil’s leading voices in renewable energy. She led ABEEólica for 14 years, playing a major role in advancing the country’s energy transition. With more than 25 years of experience, she has worked at CCEE, Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Finance, and ANEEL, specializing in electricity regulation and energy markets. She is also an active advocate for diversity and inclusion in the energy sector. Her recognitions include the “CEE – Woman of Distinction Award” (2019), the Prêmio Todas – Clean Energy category (2024), and the Top of the Year – Energy Leaders award (2025).
