Diana Daste
Diana Daste is the Country Director of the British Council in Brazil, leading the organisation’s strategy and operations across Higher Education and Science, English Programmes, Schools, Arts, and Exams. A Colombian political scientist, she holds an MSc in Applied Social Development from University College London as a Chevening Scholar.
Since joining the British Council as Senior Manager for the Newton Fund, Diana has held several leadership positions, including Regional Lead for Higher Education and Science, Acting Country Director, and President of the Associação Conselho Britânico. Throughout her career, she has fostered impactful UK–Brazil partnerships, led the development of the Women in Science programme in Brazil and across the region, and advanced initiatives promoting more inclusive STEM and English language education.
