Andreza Aruska
Dr. Andreza Aruska de Souza Santos is Associate Professor of Brazilian and Latin American Politics and Director of the King’s Brazil Institute at King’s College London. She is the author of several books and articles, including The Politics of Memory: Urban Cultural Heritage in Brazil, which examines how mining interests mobilize cultural heritage in the country. She was recently awarded a British Academy grant for her legal ethnography research on sovereignty in socio-environmental struggles. She also leads two research projects on youth employment in Brazil, focusing on opportunities in extractive industries and military careers.
