Bruno Brandão

Executive Director of Transparency International in Brazil, Bruno Brandão is an economist from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Master in Public Management from the University of York and in International Relations from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies. Since 2013, he coordinates the establishment of Transparency International in Brazil, and previously coordinated the Climate Finance Integrity Program in Mexico. He is Fellow of the “Open Government in the Americas” program of the Organization of American States and the “Transformation Thinkers” program of the Bertelsmann Foundation. In 2023, he was elected to the Board of Global Transparency for a two-year term.
Carolina Grottera

Program director at the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, where she coordinates the actions of the Federal Government’s Ecological Transformation Plan. Previously, she was project manager at the Secretariat of Articulation and Monitoring of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic. She holds a PhD in Energy Planning with emphasis in Environmental Planning from the Energy Planning Program of COPPE/UFRJ, a master’s degree from the same institution and a bachelor’s degree in Economic Sciences from PUC-Rio.
Drielli Peyerl
She/her
Drielli Peyerl is a researcher in the project ‘Energy Transition through the Sustainable Development Goals Perspective (ENLENS)’ at the University of Amsterdam. She is also a collaborating researcher at the University of São Paulo, supervising master’s and PhD students in studies on energy transition. She is one of the publishers and authors of the book Energy Transition in Brazil, published by Springer in 2023.
Edmar Camata

Edmar Camata is Secretary of Control and Transparency and President of the National Council for Internal Control (Conaci). Bachelor of Law from UFES and Master in Anti-corruption Policies from the University of Salamanca, in Spain; he has specializations in Integrated Management in Public Security, Public Prosecution and Defense of Law, and MBA in Public Management. He is a Federal Highway Police Officer and instructor at the Corporate University of PRF.
Eduardo Alcebiades Lopes

Eduardo Lopes is Nubank’s Global Head of Public Policy and President of Zetta. Previously, he led policy projects for technology and innovation at Meta and was an advisor to the Brazilian Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of the World Economic Forum. As a career diplomat, he has served as Brazil’s delegate to the UN. Bachelor of Law and Master in International Relations from USP, holds an MBA in Management from EAESP-FGV.
Helena Borges Martins da Silva Paro

Associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Uberlândia. Medical gynecologist-obstetrician at NUAVIDAS HC/UFU/Ebserh, she is also member of the Global Doctors for Choice Brazil and vice-chair of the FIGO committee for Safe Abortion.
Ilona Szabo de Carvalho

Entrepreneur, co-founder and president of the Igarapé Institute, focused on public, digital and climate safety. Master in International Studies; researcher affiliated with the Brazil Lab of the University of Princeton. Former Executive Secretary of the Global Drug Policy Commission.
Izabela Corrêa
She/her
Analyst at the Central Bank of Brazil since 2006, she is currently the Secretary of Public Integrity at the Comptroller General of the Union. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Government at the University of Oxford, in the Chandler Sessions on Integrity and Corruption project. Izabela has a PhD in Government from LSE, a Masters in Political Science from UFMG and Public Manager from Fundação João Pinheiro.
Joenia Wapichana
She/her
Joenia Wapichana is the first indigenous woman to preside over the National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai). Born in Truarú da Cabeceira, rural area of the municipality of Boa Vista (RR), she belongs to the Wapichana people and is considered the first indigenous lawyer in Brazil to act for the rights of indigenous peoples. Graduated from the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR), she began her career in the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR). She is a former congresswoman and has also served on the Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES) and the National Council for Biodiversity (CONABIO).
Juliana Moura Bueno

Google’s public policy manager, where she coordinates the relationship between the company and government and leads Google’s efforts in this cycle of the G20 and COP30. Master in Public Policy from the University of Oxford and social scientist from the University of São Paulo; she was Chief of Staff of the Secretariat of Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic (2015-2016) and Acting Secretary of Human Rights of the Federal Government (2016). Juliana developed and coordinated the Platform “City 50-50: All and all for equality” of UN Women Brazil, and has been a consultant to several international and national organizations on gender, human rights and advocacy issues such as UNICEF, UNDP, Save the Children, British Council, International Co-Impact Fund and Vladimir Herzog Institute.

Laura Müller Machado is a specialist in Public Policy, former Secretary of Social Development of the State of São Paulo, professor and coordinator of graduate programs in public management at Insper. Research the generation, use and communication of evidence to improve public policies, focusing on education, social development, income distribution and poverty.
Leonardo Morjan Britto Peçanha

PhD in Collective Health, Master in Physical Activity Sciences, specialist in Gender and Sexuality. Researcher at the Center for studies on gender, sexuality and health at Fiocruz. He is one of the organizers and author of the book “Transmasculinidades Negras – Narrativas Plurais em Primeira Pessoa”.
Luh Maza
She/her
Writer, director and actress. He had texts published in the “Coleção Primeiras Obras” (2009) – nominated for the Jabuti Prize in Literature; “Teatro” (2015); and in the anthology “Dramaturgia Negra” (2019). She directed shows such as “Carne Viva” (2015), with international debut in Portugal; “Kiwi” (2016), winner of the Aplauso Brasil Award for Best Show; and “Transtopia” (2019) with which she became the first trans director at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. In 2022 and 2023 she was the first trans jury of the Shell Theatre Award. She is the first trans screenwriter of Brazilian TV. As a screenwriter and director, she has experience in movies, TV series and streaming and advertising campaigns.
Luís Roberto Barroso

President of the Supreme Court of Brazil; where he has been minister since 2013. Former President of the Superior Electoral Court (2020-2022). Professor of Brazilian law, full professor of constitutional law at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Master of Law from Yale University and PhD from UERJ. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and is a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Barroso is the patron of Brazil Forum UK and has participated in all editions since 2016.
Macaé Maria Evaristo dos Santos

Professor, social worker and state deputy in Minas Gerais. The first black woman secretary of Education in Belo Horizonte (2005 to 2012) and in Minas Gerais (2015 to 2018). Former secretary of the Secretariat of Continuing Education, Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion (SECADI) at the Ministry of Education.

Márcia Lima is the National Secretary for Affirmative Action Policies, Combating and Overcoming Racism at the Ministry of Racial Equality. She is a professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP) and a senior researcher at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP).

Rosivaldo Fernandes Almeida

Rosivaldo is a teacher of basic education and director of a set of schools in the city of Gurupá, Pará. He has a degree in Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in School Management and acquired social training through social movements in Gurupá. Today, he participates in the Educational Leadership Training Program, offered by the Lemann Center.
