Andressa Caldas
Executive Director of the Instituto de Políticas Públicas em Direitos Humanos do Mercosul (MERCOSUR Institute for Human Rights Policies), with extensive experience in the technical-political articulation of actions with authorities and officials from the States Parties and Associates of Mercosur.
Carlos Nobre
One of Brazil’s most prominent climatologists, Carlos Nobre has devoted his career to studying the Amazon and global climate change. He is Co-Chair of the Science Panel for the Amazon (SPA), where he advocates for science-based solutions for the sustainable development of the region, with a focus on a standing-forest bioeconomy.
Kdu dos Anjos
Artist, director, and entrepreneur from the favelas, widely recognised for transforming the periphery into a creative powerhouse. In 2023, he debuted as a filmmaker with the documentary Folia dos Anjos. The following year, he became a street reporter for TV Globo, bringing the voice of the favela to Carnival and other popular celebrations. He is also the general director of Cia Favelinha de Danças. Kdu has spoken at events in the USA, France, Colombia, and the UK.
Kizzy Terra
Data scientist, speaker and co-founder of Programação Dinâmica. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering, a master’s degree in mathematical modeling of information from the School of Applied Mathematics at FGV-RJ and is currently a PhD candidate in Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design at PUC-SP. With experience in the public and private sectors, she has contributed to research projects at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) and the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE/FGV), was a senior data scientist at Cyberlabs and a professor at Inteli and IDP.
Luís Roberto Barroso
Minister of the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil since 2013 and current president. Professor of Brazilian law and constitutional law at the Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Master of Laws from Yale University and PhD from UERJ. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. Barroso is the patron of Brazil Forum UK and has participated in all editions since 2016.
Marjorie Kauffmann
Forestry engineer and PhD in Geosciences from Unicamp, she completed her postdoctoral studies at Univates University Center. She was the director of the Environment Secretariat of the Municipality of Lajeado. Between 2019 and 2022, she served as CEO of the State Foundation for Environmental Protection (Fepam) of Rio Grande do Sul. Since March 2022, she has been the State Secretary for the Environment and Infrastructure.
Samira Bueno
PhD in Public Administration and Government from the School of Business Administration of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-EAESP) with a doctoral internship at the Centre of Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Cambridge. Master in Public Administration from the same university and a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo. She is the executive director of the Brazilian Public Security Forum and coordinates the preparation of the Brazilian Public Security Yearbook and the Atlas of Violence.
