2023 Edition

In 2023, a year that presented itself as a moment of post-pandemic new beginnings in the political, economic and social fields, Brazil Forum UK promoted debates to resume growth and development plans.
With the theme “Innovating paths, transforming futures”, the 2023 edition invited reflection, looking at Brazilian diversity, to think about a fairer and more inclusive future for the country.

2022 Edition

At a time when the Covid-19 pandemic is cooling down, amid economic and political crises, the 2022 edition was held with the mission of keeping hope alive, one of the greatest human essences.

New day, new stories, new paths and the chance to start over. With the theme “Tomorrow will be another day”, Brazil Forum UK brought science, information, inclusion, communication and other fundamental themes so that, together with the Brazilian people, we can dream again.

2021 Edition

Still in the pandemic, with the theme, “The future is in the present that begins”, the objective of this edition was to create multidisciplinary debates on urgent issues faced in Brazil, ranging from politics immersed in polarization, to discussions about vaccines, the environment , crises and pandemic. Brazil Forum UK 2021 had more than 30 personalities present, such as Luís Roberto Barroso, Anielle Franco, Evandro Fióti, Silvio Almeida, Marina Silva, Erika Hilton, Fernando Haddad, Fernandes and Erica Malunguinho were present.

2020 Edition

2020 was an atypical year that required everyone, more than anything else, to adapt. With Brazil Forum UK it was no different. The fifth edition of the event, initially planned to take place at the universities of Oxford and LSE, as usual, had to be remodeled to be held completely online. This required serious work from the 2020 committee to rethink the way the panels were held so as not to harm the interactivity and dynamics of the debates.

2019 Edition

Proposals for inclusive and sustainable development with the collaboration of actors from different sectors. Indigenous leader Sônia Guajajara, STF minister Luís Roberto Barroso, journalist Mônica Bergamo, senator Cid Gomes and governor Eduardo Leite, among others, participated in the event.

2018 Edition

Advances, setbacks and challenges of the 1988 Federal Constitution, thinking about opportunities for the future. President Dilma Rousseff, former senator Marina Silva, STF minister Luís Roberto Barroso, doctor Dráuzio Varella and senator Ricardo Ferraço, among others, were among the speakers.

2017 Edition

A creative analysis of the conditions that founded our country in different areas. The then Lava Jato judge Sergio Moro, businessman Guilherme Leal, former ministers Fernando Haddad, Ciro Gomes and José Eduardo Cardozo, STF minister Luís Roberto Barroso , among others, participated.

2016 Edition

Overcoming dichotomies and proposing solutions for the Brazilian institutional crisis. Among others, the former Attorney General of the Union Luís Inácio Adams, the economist Persio Arida, the attorney Deltan Dallagnol, the editorial director of Folha, Otávio Frias Filho, the former chancellor Celso Amorim and philosopher Luiz Felipe Pondé.
